Archipelago is a newly-formed professional choral ensemble dedicated to adventurous programming and to showcasing the region’s highest level of vocal artists. Archipelago's debut concert, entitled "Awakenings", explores landmark repertoire by underrepresented female-identifying composers.

The Heinz Endowments launched the Creative Development Awards in 2022 to celebrate Western Pennsylvania's professional artists and widen their national profile, with a special focus on those whose artistic achievements show great promise.
